All our partnered hospitals are formal medical institutions. The medications and medical devices they use are uniformly approved by China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), complying with national medical safety standards. Many of the medical supplies are sourced from well-known domestic and international manufacturers. For customers with specific requirements for imported products, we can assist in communicating with the hospital to meet your needs as much as possible.
We will always try to accommodate special requests. Please inform us at the time of booking if you have medical needs, dietary requirements, mobility concerns or other important details.

For most short-term medical services such as health screenings and simple elective procedures, a regular tourist visa is sufficient. A medical visa (M visa) is only required if you need to stay in China for an extended period for continuous treatment. Three Bears will provide professional guidance on visa types based on your specific treatment plan and assist you in preparing the necessary materials for the visa application process
You will need to prepare the following documents: a valid passport and visa, previous medical records (including diagnosis reports, examination results and imaging data), which are preferably translated into English or Chinese, and a copy of your travel insurance policy. Our team will send you a detailed document checklist via email well before your departure date.
We have a 24/7 emergency response system. In the event of a medical complication, our local team will immediately coordinate with the partnered hospital to arrange timely treatment and provide professional guidance. We will also assist you in handling relevant procedures in accordance with the terms of your travel insurance policy, including supporting the application for medical transfer if required.
- Japan: Japanese Yen (JPY). Cash is still widely used, especially in smaller shops, rural areas, and temples. Credit cards are commonly accepted in major hotels, department stores, and restaurants in big cities.
- China: Chinese Yuan (CNY / Renminbi). While cash is accepted, mobile payments like Alipay and WeChat Pay are widely used. Some international credit cards may not work in smaller shops, so it’s advisable to carry some cash or use mobile payment apps.
