Travel FAQS
  • Japan: Typhoon season is June–October. Winter travel may involve heavy snow in northern regions.

  • China: Summer heat and air pollution can affect health in some cities. Stay hydrated, check local weather, and avoid high pollution days.

Besides your visa, it’s recommended to have:

  • Return flight tickets
  • Accommodation information
  • Proof of sufficient funds

Always check official sources before your trip, as regulations may change.

We will always try to accommodate special requests. Please inform us at the time of booking if you have medical needs, dietary requirements, mobility concerns or other important details.

  • Japan: Apple Pay and Google Pay are gradually accepted in large stores and public transport, but cash is still essential in rural areas.
  • China: Alipay and WeChat Pay dominate daily transactions, from taxis to street food. Some international cards can now be linked to these apps, but check compatibility before your trip.

Different tour types have different minimum traveller requirements. Each itinerary page will clearly indicate the minimum number of travellers needed for that specific tour to operate.

If your group does not meet the minimum number but you would still like to travel, we are happy to arrange a Custom Tour tailored specifically to your preferred dates, group size and interests. Simply contact us with your requirements, and we will create a personalised itinerary for you.

Three Bears Travel offers a range of tour styles — Group Tours, Day Tours and Custom Tours — and guiding arrangements vary depending on the destination and the nature of the experience.

Group Tours:

Some group tours include a dedicated guide, while others may be designed for self-guided exploration where this is part of the experience. Guiding arrangements will be clearly specified for each itinerary.

Day Tours:

Most day tours include a local guide; however, certain attractions may be suitable for self-guided visits. We will provide recommendations based on the destination.

Custom Tours:

If you have specific needs or prefer a more personalised experience, our Custom Tour service allows you to tailor your trip exactly as you wish — including the option to add guides, drivers or special activities. Simply share your requirements with us, and we will design a customised itinerary to suit you.

Yes, we welcome children of all ages to join our tours.
For families travelling with younger children, we recommend choosing a customised itinerary
, which offers greater flexibility in pacing, attractions and daily schedules—ensuring a more relaxed and enjoyable experience for both parents and children.

Meal arrangements vary depending on the specific tour. Each itinerary page clearly outlines which meals are included so you can plan with confidence.

Some tours may provide selected meals at local restaurants, while others offer more flexibility for you to explore food options on your own. For custom tours, meal inclusions can be tailored to your preferences.

Please refer to the day-by-day itinerary on each tour page for the exact meal details.
