    The Azusa River

The Azusa River flows through the valley of Kamikochi. It is surrounded by the majestic Hotaka Mountain Range and Mount Yakedake, with the original forests of birch and larch along its banks, creating a beautiful natural landscape. The river is crystal - clear, and its blue - green water reflects the surrounding mountains and trees, which is very charming. In the river and Oizumi Pond, there are mallards that do not migrate and are not afraid of humans at all.

    Kappa Bridge

Kappa Bridge is a wooden suspension bridge on the Azusa River, which has become the symbol of Kamikochi. It is 36.6 meters long and 3.1 meters wide. In front of the bridge stands the Hotaka Mountain Range, and in the distance, you can see the white smoke rising from Mount Yakedake in the south. It is known as one of the best scenic spots in Kamikochi. The name of the bridge comes from the kappa, a mysterious creature in Japanese folklore. In the early 20th century, the writer Ryunosuke Akutagawa published the novel Kappa, which made this bridge well - known. There are various kappa - themed souvenirs available near the bridge.

  • Hakuba onsen Experience
Hakuba Onsen is a renowned hot spring destination located in Hakuba Village, Nagano Prefecture.
The colorless and clear hot water has a PH of over 11, making it one of the strongest alkaline hot springs in Japan. It can remove excessive keratin, leaving the skin soft and smooth. In addition, it is the only natural hydrogen hot spring in Japan discovered so far. Hydrogen has antioxidant properties, which may help prevent diseases and slow down the aging process.
There are dozens of hot spring facilities in Hakuba, including indoor baths in accommodation facilities and four public natural hot springs. For those who are not comfortable with nude bathing, there are also free footbaths scattered throughout the village.
